Butter Leeaa Frolentine OOAK Art Doll by Strawberry Anarchy

I have admired so many wonderful art dolls for a long time. My granny made dolls clothes and I have always loved dolls. I am a big child when it comes to these things. So I knew it was only a matter of time until I tried to make my own. I loved making my own doll it was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to make more. I never want to limit myself to only doing one set craft or art form and I like to jump around and try out all different things or other wise I get bored. I loved making this though and the options are endless I already have some ideas in my mind for others. I just have to get the time now. That is the hard part!

I made Butter Leeaa Frolentine with polymer clay, she has glass vials attached, fabric and is pose-able with wire. She sits but you can move her head into different positions and it bobbles around which I like, it's quite funny so I made a video. I can't part with her at the moment because I like her but I might put her up for sale soon. Or if anyone has a really good offer I can't refuse then let me know.

People on my facebook page said she reminded them a bit of Coraline or Corpse Bride which is pretty cool since I like those :)

This is the first of many Strawberry Anarchy Dolls to come :)

You can check in my shop for other things I make and of course be sure to contact me if you have an offer for my doll.

Strawberry Anarchy Interview for Cut Out and Keep

Wooppee, I was asked to do another interview. You can see where I make stuff in this one as I included some photos of my work space. I love doing interviews, just click on the photo below to have a read. Thanks to Cut Out and Keep the crafty network with tons of tutorials and crafty stuff. You will be sure to love it if you have an interest in arts and crafts. Also look out for another interview with Cat Morley  ( the founder of Cut out and Keep) later this year. You can read her previous interview way back in 2009 here.

I Came Up With a Cool Way To Upcycle Play Doh Tubs...

I have been mulling it over in my head for a while since I bought a cheap set of 50 colours of Play Doh on Ebay for my daughter and I bring out a few new colours every time the previous ones dry up or get mixed into poo colour. So anyway I was thinking If I managed to get the labels off they would be quite good packaging containers, the fact that it said Play Doh on top was a wee bit annoying though but then I thought, ahh these look very similar size to my round Moo logo stickers. and ping!

lovely recycled play doh containers. Turned into magical Strawberry Anarchy packing. The image will take you to my pinterest account where you will see this in it's original size.

First of all I put them all into hot water with fairy liquid. This was fine to get the first paper type layer of sticker off but then I was left with the glue and stubborn sticky white residue bit underneath. I got some nail polish remover and it even removed the ugly wee black serial number bit on the bottom.

The whole house stinks of nail polish remover though which isn't so good since I spilled loads all over the place. Anyway I thought it was a fun ideas and I would blog about it.

Comparing Identical Twins

I have always been fascinated with identical twins, triplets and other multiples. I was really interested in conjoined twins for ages too and watched quite a lot of documentaries on them, they are amazing the way they have learned to compromise. I found these photos below from the 22 words facebook page and I had to share them. There's a book with many more comparisons. Martin Schoeller has photographed celebrities and it looks like he's worked for some top places before and has quite a few other book

I actually quite fancied being a twin right up until I seen this really mental episode of Intervention, which follows people with addiction, two twins were anorexic and they would compete with each other it was so sad their parents had never given them their own identity and it really messed them up. I changed my mind after that episode which you can get the jist of here.

Anyway I hope you find these photos interesting too. If you would like to keep up to date and get my updates straight to your email, don't forget to subscribe.
