Merry Christmas and Thank You All

Hello to everyone who reads Strawberry Anarchy or supports this little business in one way or another, I just wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas I hope you are all having a good day with filled bellies and smiles. We are having a nice relaxing day for our first Christmas together as a family (me , Frazer and Hazel) I got a little photo of her in her Christmas outfit sent from auntie Jacqui and uncle Iain and little friend Isla far away in Canada... I also took a photo of her in a giant tea cup... My blog wont always be about my baby but at the moment I just can't help it :D

Baby Strawberry (Hazel) Arrived...

Hazel Gibson was born on the 7/12/10 (7 is my lucky number) she was a massive 9lbs 3 and 17 days later than the estimated due date. I was in hospital for a whole week as I ended up having to go in to get induced as I had too much fluid and the baby wasn't engaged and her head was in a bad position looking up instead of tucked in. I took a bad reaction to the induction and had hardly any down time so was in a lot of pain as the contractions were just coming thick and fast without a break, after 30 hours and various different methods, pessary and gel my cervix still hadn't even opened so they couldn't get in to break the waters and so emergency c section it was! All this was so far from the natural hypno water birth I had in mind and I never even wanted to be inducted to begin with but we thought it was the best option to go ahead after this amount of time and the main thing is Hazel is here now, healthy and gorgeous. We are so happy and just can't stop looking at her she is such a lovely baby and it feels great to wake up and see her little cute face. I am completely in love with her she is the cutest wee creature in the universe and it feels great to be a mum, this is without a doubt the happiest I have ever been I wish I could slow down time as I never want it to end. I think it's true that the minute the birth is over you don't really care because you are too busy admiring your baby.
