Gizmo Cake

Who doesn't love Gizmo and the gremlins? I have wanted a real life Gizmo for about 10 years now he is the perfect little pet and so cute and cuddly. Can you believe the second photo is a Gizmo cake? It must have taken ages to make what skills.

Swine Flu

I really hope this wasn't the way the flu managed to spread from pigs to humans it makes you wonder though. I decided to make light of the current situation by making a quick drawing on photoshop. I have just heard the pandemic has went up to level five I think that it is like we are living in a zombie movie or something it's quite surreal. If we have to wear masks I'm getting a pink one. I might be selling them in my shop soon if this flu lasts any length of time.

DokoGa TV - Sanrio Hello Kitty Illustrator Dai Yagi Interview

I found this interview with Sanrio's head illustrator. I was kinda upset that he was wearing all black clothes I imagined him to be all colourful and crazy looking haha. It is an interesting interview if you are interested in Sanrio (the company behind Hello Kitty)

Lily of The Valley, My Favourite Flower & Why

I thought I would share an image of my favourite flower with you because summer is coming yay! and all the flowers are starting to bloom. The reason why I love lily of the valley is because the little tiny flowers look like fairy hats. Every time I see them, which is not enough I imagine faeries collecting them to wear on their heads. Blue bells are also nice for larger faeries. I found out today that Lily of the Valley became the national flower of Finland in 1967 it must have been somthing to do with the hippies :P Why can't Scotland have lily of the valley? Thistles are o.k but they would impale fairies if they went near them so I don't like them. What is your favourite flower and why?

Funny as hell Video

Is it evil that I can't help laughing at this? I have seen it a few times, I'm the kind of person that gets uncontrollable giggles like this too and it is so bad sometimes and in situations I really shouldn't get them I feel more empathy for the talk show host rather than the actual guy getting interviewed. Probably because I can relate more to the talk show host and don't have a voice that is extraordinary squeaky lol.

Mum's £12,000 bid to look like daughter

I found this quite bizarre and funny too, I think it's strange they walk around in the same clothes I would really have to tell my mum to stop, and just get her own style and grow older with a bit of grace. It is good she feels better about herself but If I seen these two walking about like that I would have to just laugh. It's like twins but with one really wrinkly one. Would it not be better if the mother just dressed in her own clothes then at least people wouldn't compare the two of them! Uch each to their own and all that I suppose. You need to watch it and let me know your thoughts (I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of this weird twosome haha)

Jobless

I never got the job and it's my fourth interview which has failed. They said that they don't think I have enough experience to be a supervisor but that they would like me to be part of the team and that there might be a position for me at some point, so at least it wasn't a total failure. I have another interview tomorrow which I hope I get. This is the hardest I have ever tried to get a job and the most I have ever applied for. I am really feeling the effects of the recession and I am sick of being broke. Looks like my interview necklace is getting sold. Also the degree I have does not seem to be getting me anywhere because there are no jobs i am experienced to do if I was 17 again I would go be an apprentice because going to uni and getting so in debt and to not even be qualified for anything really, really , really sucks.

Sanrio Sugar Bunnies

This film is so sweet and it reminds me of the same style as Amelie, it is just a short sanrio film done in French it has a recipe for a cake which is written below. Even though I didn't understand everything someone had written the recipe in the you tube comments. I love the style of this short film.
It doesn't give the exact measurements but here's what I have:
2 eggs
flour
sugar
strawberries
a lemon
fresh cream

"in a bowl, crack 2 eggs, add sugar and whisk (add flour too, i think :x) until nice and thick, rub the lemon (unpeeled) against a grater(or something) to add flavor.
Pour in a wide square pan that was lined with wax paper and sprayed with the non-sticking...stuff bake at 180 degree's for 10 minutes.
after it is fully baked, cut in half. Set a side 1 half and whisk into whipped cream. Spread on one of the half of the cake, not all of it though! add strawberries after washing them and cutting off the green tops. add more cream and put on the 2nd half of the cake like a sandwich. Cut off ends to make it more cleaner if you'd like. Ice the rest of the cake with the cream and decorate it as you like and enjoy :] .
Note: before trying to back this cake, i suggest going out and finding a real lemon cake recipe :x oh and add water when adding the sugar, etc."

My Interview Necklace

I made a necklace to go with my interview outfit, I was wearing mainly purples and blue's I added in some colour to make it stand out. If I get the interview I'm going to keep this as a lucky necklace but if I don't it will be sold since I need some money mainly.
I need a job bad!! and it was an interview for a jewellery shop so I really hope I get it. This is the first thing I have made for ages that I actually like I made the polymer clay beads but the rest are handmade glass beads I have bought and some wooden ones I already had. I'm going to make more of these I think as they are fun and bright and have a good summery vibe.

Althea Crome, knitter of Coralines sweater and gloves

The first film is really cool and about the woman who does knitting on the tiniest needles ever I found this video over at the neatorama blog. The second video shows how they put the tiny hair in the puppets! I can't wait to see Coraline I think it looks like a really cool animated film.

Thailand Naree Pon Flower Pod Elf Women Fairies

Wow check these little fairies, it might be baby monkeys preserved I don't be knowing , but I don't be caring. They look real and they are potentially little real , actual fairies OMG,WTF? (that's me doing a 14 year old girl impression) yeah my little cousin went through a stage of wanting to be a footballers wife and just being a basic bimbo for a while I was really worried about her for a bit but she has came out of it a head strong girl who actually is sound, clued up and does not want to be the wife of a footballer!! Yehaaaaa for big cousins :P

Stephanie Metz Teddy Natural History

I love the way she has thought what the inside of a teddy bear would look like if it was real! you can visit her site here so you can see more of her amazing work I love the teddy in the jar the most as I have a fixation with objects captured in water or "trapped" in glass. I don't know why that is but it might stem from me being a premature baby and being in an incubator for the first few weeks of my life (I just came up with this theory right now lol) hmm it could be you never know, anyway here's what it says on her website- "Stephanie Metz is a sculptor whose innovative work in felted wool has garnered international attention. Her sculpture, focused on the relationship between humans and the natural world, fuses sharp wit, thoughtful observation, and careful craftsmanship in an unusual material to blur the line between art and science, natural and unnatural, organic and man-made"

Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book & Brian Froud Interview

Brian Froud is one of my favourite artists of all time, He is a famous fairy and fantasy artist I have his goblins, good fairy and the pressed fairy book and I love them all. I thought I would share some of the pressed fairies with you. When I was looking for the pressed fairies I realised that some people had tattoo's of them. What a cool idea, also another thing I love about the book is that it came with a free transparent sticker with a squished fairy so you can put it on your window :D. In the interview Brian talks about fairies and it is really amazing that he feels the same way as I do about them you will have to watch it to find out. I believe in fairies too because I have seen them but much like in the state he described.
